First Annual Festival of the New Black Imagination, This Oct. 15th in NYC

Music entrepreneur and self-described “black rock evangelist,” Rob Fields, launches the First Annual "Festival of the New Black Imagination" this October 15th. The one-day festival will include a full day of panel discussions on various aspects of the alternative black experience; from examining its current-day manifestations in art, culture and music to its possible future. The festival is scheduled to host a number of musical performances for that night as well.

Panels will be held in New York City at the Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus and the panel guest list includes: A. Sayeeda Clarke, Ali Muhammad, Toure, Amanda Seales, Vernon Reed and others. Full Panel Listing
