EDITORIAL INTERNS
BASIC INFORMATION:
S.O.U.L. Magazine is seeking interns with backgrounds in writing and a serious interest in music and urban culture for editorial intern positions. Editorial Interns work virtually for a minimum of 20 hours per week. You will contribute to the robust daily music culture news coverage on the S.O.U.L. Magazine website. Ideal candidates will be quick writers with distinctive voices who are also very well-organize and detail-oriented; possessing a good knowledge of music and urban-alternative culture. This is an unpaid internship.

Description
• Writing and posting articles throughout the week on S.O.U.L. Magazine.
• Conducting interviews, writing articles and reviews as needed
• Generating original story ideas on a daily basis
• Contributing to S.O.U.L. Magazine's overall editorial direction
• Assist with maintaining content calendars and databases

Qualifications
• Ability to write and edit content
• Excellent work ethic; willingness to work occasional nights and weekends when needed
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable with web publishing systems and technology
• A desire to work in a highly collaborative environment

ABOUT OUR INTERN PROGRAM:
S.O.U.L. Magazine interns are responsible for transcribing interviews, researching stories, organizing e-mail, conducting interviews, and compiling music culture news for the magazine. Interns will also be called upon to pitch and write story ideas for S.O.U.L. Magazine.

Internship will have a great emphasis on daily writing and reporting for the site. S.O.U.L. will also periodically offer web production internships (emphasis on photo research and production, audio/video work, html coding, and more) and digital PR/promotion internships.
